Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 24, 2026
FluentTasks is a Google Tasks client for Windows. Your privacy matters to us.
What We Collect
Nothing. FluentTasks does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information.
How FluentTasks Works
FluentTasks connects directly to Google Tasks using Google's official API. When you use FluentTasks:
- Your tasks, lists, and notes sync between FluentTasks and Google Tasks
- All data is stored in your Google account, not on our servers
- We don't have servers - your data goes directly between your device and Google
Local Storage
FluentTasks stores these items locally on your device:
- Your app preferences and settings
- Custom icons for your task lists
- Google authentication tokens (securely stored in Windows Credential Manager)
This data stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Third-Party Services
FluentTasks uses Google Tasks API to access your task data. Google's services are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
You control your data:
- Access: View your tasks in FluentTasks or Google Tasks
- Export: Use Google Takeout to export your data
- Delete: Delete tasks anytime, or uninstall the app to remove local data
- Revoke: Remove FluentTasks access at Google Account Permissions
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top.
